Munich International Crickets (MIC) was founded in 1992 out of desire of several cricket enthusiast to play cricket in an independent, self-financing and multi-racial club. Over the years, players from England, Australia, Sri Lanka, Germany, India, Pakistan, Scotland, Ireland, USA and even from Uganda have worn the MIC cap. Since its formation,MIC has been the Bayerische Cricket Verein League champions several times, represented southern Germany in the German national club championship, won the BCV knock out and several other trophies.
It has been MIC’s mission to promote the game of cricket to the the local community. MIC is the founder of the Independence Day cricket event in englischergarten in Munich. It is probably the only cricket match in Germany where spectators come to watch a game of cricket.
All the home matches are played at the Erasmus Gymnasium in West Park. It ia located at the junction of Glim-Str. and Bruggerstr. (Follow Westend Str towards West Park until the dead end at “Rosen Garten” car park, the school and the playing fields are located next to the car park).
